Cartheca

Terms of service

Not yet published.

Cartheca has no terms of service and no acceptable-use policy. This page exists to say so plainly rather than to leave the question unanswered.

Why there is nothing here

Terms of service are a legal document. Drafting one that has not been reviewed would produce something that looks authoritative and is not, which helps nobody — least of all anyone relying on it.

What the document has to settle, when it is written: what rights you grant over deck primers and published decks, what Cartheca may do with them, how long data is retained and how it is deleted, how moderation decisions are made and appealed, and how Scryfall's data terms and the Wizards of the Coast fan content policy apply.

What applies in the meantime

Moderation exists before the rules are written

Cartheca can lock an account and hide a public deck. Those powers are real today, and the acceptable-use policy describing when they are used is not published yet. That gap is known and is being closed, not ignored.

If a moderation action is taken against your account or a deck, you can appeal it, and an appeal is answered by a person.

Fan content

Cartheca is unofficial Fan Content and is not approved or endorsed by Wizards of the Coast. Card data is provided by Scryfall.

Nothing here waives anything

The absence of a published document does not create or remove any right on either side. When terms are published, you will be asked to accept them rather than being bound by them silently, and a later material change will be re-presented rather than applied quietly.

Questions in the meantime go to Contact.
